Single Payment and Collection System (SEPA)

Dear Customer ,

You have probably already received bank details on the Single Payment and Collection System in Euros – SEPA , which will be mandatory from 1 February 2014 .

For GAFIC , having as a way to collect client fees , the direct debit ( direct debit ) , adapting to this new system requires , is especially important because it requires :
1 – . Having the SWIFT -BIC and IBAN customer .
. 2 – Collect and safeguard the SEPA ( debit orders from customers) mandates.

These changes require us to update both the database and the software customers billing and collection with receipts we issue invoices to the new SEPA formats.

To collect the required data, we send the model SEPA Mandate : B2B

In order to adapt our files , we ask us Mandate submit duly completed and signed digitally by email to the address albert@gafic.com before next January 15, 2014 .

Learn scheme

SDD basic scheme (CORE )
• Requirements to issue direct debits basic scheme (CORE ) :
– Operations must be in euros
– Issuer and the debtor may be legal entities and / or individuals.
– All entities operating in the basic scheme debits accepted modality.
– Before issuing an order / direct debit mandate for payment debtor must exist. Debit orders or existing mandates will remain equally valid to issue direct debits under the basic scheme -CORE (only nationally ) .
– You must keep the mandates and all amendments or cancellations as may be required to justify the existence of authorization for a collection .
– A new file format is required : 19-14 SEPA CORE.
– Code IBAN becomes the standard of the debtor’s account code, and the BIC , the financial entity of the debtor.
– Debits will be presented with an advance of 7 days ( for first or only operations ) and 4 working days (for recurrent or late trading ) .
– Time of return:
• Up to 8 weeks by the debtor client.
• 13 months for unauthorized payments ( customer order ) . There is the possibility to refuse a refund within this time providing a copy of the current mandate .

SDD scheme business (B2B )
• Requirements to issue direct debit scheme business ( B2B):
– Operations must be in euros
– Issuer and obligor must be legal entities (companies or self-employed) .
– Prior to the issuance must be formalized an order / direct debit mandate between issuer and debtor. This order shall specify the operational acceptance of B2B and the waiver of this right of return.
– You must keep the mandates and all amendments or cancellations as may be required to justify the existence of authorization for a collection .
– It requires a new file format : B2B SEPA 19-44 .
– Code IBAN becomes the standard of the debtor’s account code, and the BIC , the financial entity of the debtor.
– Debits will be presented with an advance of 3 working days.
– Prior to the debt , the bank will request authorization to the drawee .
